This Hawthorn Tree, located on Escarpment Sideroad in Caledon, has always been my favourite. I have visited it in every season, but in a clear winter's dawn, it's delicate branching and beauty is evident. A detailed pencil drawing beforehand provided the confidence to begin this painting!
